Welcome to the Liverpool City Liquor Accord website. Our aim is to encourage a collaborative approach to the responsible service of alcohol to minimise harm and create a safe and successful environment for both the community and licensed venues.

According to the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing (OLGR),

Local liquor accords are voluntary industry-based partnerships working in local communities to introduce practical solutions to liquor-related problems. They reach agreements on ways to improve the operation of licensed venues so that venues and precincts are safe and enjoyable. Most local liquor accords include members from the local business community, local councils, police, government departments and other community organisations.

The Liverpool City Liquor Accord encompasses licensed venues in both the Liverpool and Green Valley Local Area Commands. The Accord meets quarterly to discuss issues affecting local licensed venues and the broader liquor industry. There is usually representation from Liverpool and Green Valley Police Local Area Commands, as well as from Liverpool City Council. Meetings are usually held on the last Tuesday of February, May, August and November at 11am at the Liverpool Catholic Club.

The Executive Committee holds additional quarterly meetings in the month prior to the general meetings to address correspondence, coordinate meeting agendas and prepare campaigns and initiatives.

As an Incorporated Association, membership of the Accord comes at an annual fee. More information about membership can be found on the Why Join? page.
